Carol Schmidt
Program Director of Senior Peer Counseling
Carol Schmidt has been the Senior Peer Counseling Program Director since March of 2003. Her previous experience included Program Director for both the Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion Programs for Northern Santa Barbara and Southern San Luis Obispo Counties, a sector of the federal government’s volunteer Senior Corps, a unit of the Corporation for National and Community Service; and a Mediator/Educational Programs Coordinator with Creative Mediation Services.
Carol received a Master of Arts degree in counseling psychology in 1999. Prior going to graduate school Carol had a career in human resource management consulting in the private sector.
