Medical Records Coordinator - Full Time 

Position Details

Under the direction and supervision of and working closely with the Director of Office Operations, the Medical Records Coordinator oversees and is responsible for the medical records department and maintains the policies and procedures established for the record keeping of all paper medical carts for all sites. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  •  High School diploma or equivalent.
  •   Able to type with accuracy.
  •   Computer competent.
  •   Knowledge of medical records filing system.
  •   Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
  •   Able to communicate effectively.
  •   Able to handle a variety of tasks at a quick pace.
  •   Able to work independently.

Rehabilitation Supervisor - Full Time

Position Details :

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services, the Rehabilitation Supervisor supervises the Therapy (PT, PTA, OT, OTA, ST) activities, supervises Rehabilitation clinical staff and is responsible for staff education and staff development. Responsible for comprehensive Rehabilitation care of patients which includes recognition of emotional, social and cultural factors, encouragement of selfrespect and selfesteem, guidance toward rational and socially acceptable behavior and implementation of therapy care measures; and training of nursing personnel related to recognition and understanding of patient’s rehabilitation needs and rehabilitation interventions. Oversees documentation and continuity of professional services. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  •   Graduated from a program in physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Council on Post Secondary Education.
  •   Shall be registered or licensed or certified and eligible to practice in the State of California.
  •   Progressively responsible clinical experience in a community health service, intermittent care home health agency, or its equivalent.
  •   Demonstrated knowledge of home health and use of community resources.
  •   Basic administrative and managerial skills required.
  •   Demonstrated strong written and verbal skills.
  •   Demonstrated leadership ability and capability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  •   Demonstrated interest and knowledge of current trends and new developments in home health.
  •   Possesses knowledge of self care practices including a balanced health style.
  •   Two years experience with BestCare preferred.
  •   Current CPR card required.

Physical Therapist - Full Time & Part Time

Position Details:

Full-Time for Northern Santa Barbara County. Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services and/or the Rehabilitation Supervisor, the Physical Therapist develops and implements a plan for providing physical rehabilitation and home therapeutic treatment, as well as education of patients, family members, and significant others.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
  • Graduation from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • A minimum of one year’s experience as a Physical Therapist is required. Experience as a Physical Therapist in home health is preferred.
  • Current CPR card required.

Wilshire Home Health currently has a clinical opening for a full time occupational therapist in our San Luis Obispo & Northern Santa Barbara County service areas. We offer independence and flexible schedules, competitive pay and mileage reimbursement. 

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services and/or the Rehabilitation Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist develops and implements a plan for providing rehabilitation home therapeutic treatment as well as education of patients, family members and significant others. This position also coordinates with other home health staff to provide an efficient integration of care. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •   Current registration as an Occupational Therapist from the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  •   A minimum of one year’s experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.

  •   Licensed, certified or registered as an Occupational Therapy Assistant as per state regulations.
  •   A minimum of one year’s experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.
  •   Be a graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant associate degree program.

Certified Home Health Aide - Part Time 

Wilshire Home Health currently has a clinical opening for a part-time certified home health aide in our San Luis Obispo & Northern Santa Barbara County service areas. We offer independence and flexible schedules, competitive pay and mileage reimbursement. 

Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, the Home Health Aide performs tasks that involve specific services for the patients, which are supportive and complementary to nursing and therapy practices. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •   Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  •   Current certification by the California Department of Health Services as a Certified Home Health Aide.
  •   Satisfactory score on pre‐employment competency exam.
  •   Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Home Health Aide is preferred.

Wilshire Hospice

 

RN Nurse - Multiple -  Full Time Case Manager and Full Time 11-8 Shift 

Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of assigned patients which includes recognition of emotional, social and cultural factors, encouragement of selfrespect and selfesteem, guidance toward rational and socially acceptable behavior and implementation of restorative nursing care measures; and for supervision and training of nursing personnel who assist in provision of care to the assigned patients. Fulltime Registered Nurse will act as Case Manager for specific assigned cases, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with other disciplines involved in the patient’s care. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. BSN preferred
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care.
  • Experience and/or education in the area of the aged, chronically ill, restorative nursing, and/or psychiatric nursing. One or more years experience as a Registered Nurse is required; MedSurg experience preferred.
  • Current venipuncture experience and IV skills. Current CPR card required.
