Controller

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Controller is responsible for supervision of the fiscal operations of the organization including the financial accounting and reporting systems, statement preparation and governmental reporting.

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent – preferred but not required.
Minimum five years prior Controller or Senior Level Accounting experience, preferably in Health Care.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management.
Experience with budgets, cash management and financial projections.
Advanced excel software skills, knowledge of MAS or comparable accounting systems. Allscripts/Netsmart knowledge is a plus.

Wilshire Hospice Positions

Be a part of a comprehensive and compassionate team of professionals. Our clinical team works together with physicians, nurses, therapists, musicians and counselors meeting the needs of our patients and their families.

RN Nurse: Full Time, 11-8 Shift, Admissions, Case Manager

Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of assigned patients which includes recognition of emotional, social and cultural factors, encouragement of self‐respect and self‐esteem, guidance toward rational and socially acceptable behavior and implementation of restorative nursing care measures; and for supervision and training of nursing personnel who assist in provision of care to the assigned patients. Full‐time Registered Nurse will act as Case Manager for specific assigned cases, coordinating patient care, and collaborating with other disciplines involved in the patient’s care.

Qualifications/Requirements
Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. BSN preferred
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care.
Experience and/or education in the area of the aged, chronically ill, restorative nursing, and/or psychiatric nursing.
One or more years experience as a Registered Nurse is required; Med‐Surg experience preferred.
Current venipuncture experience and IV skills. Current CPR card required.

Director of Patient Care Services

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Director of Patient Care Services has overall responsibility for coordination of patient care services and is responsible for any activities relevant to patient care services.

Qualifications/Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred but not required.
Is currently licensed by the state of California as a registered nurse.
Is experienced or trained in nursing services administration and/or Public Health/Hospice Nursing.
Has 3 years of RN expertise within the last five years for holders of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; or if no Bachelor’s Degree, has 4 years of RN expertise within the last five years
Has at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory/administrative capacity in a community health setting
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care and teaching
Demonstrates leadership ability and capability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
Maintains an interest and knowledge of current trends and new developments in nursing and health administration
Demonstrates interest and ability to work effectively with the community
Demonstrates knowledge of State and Federal regulations pertinent to hospice and home health care including Medicare Conditions of Participation, Title 22, and accreditation standards.
Must possess current CPR card

Wilshire Home Health Positions

Join our home health care team, whose comprehensive care allow healing to take place in the home. Lead by our Medical Director our team of RN nurses, therapists and aides work together to support patients and families on the Central Coast.

Physical Therapist

Full-Time and Part Time available for San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara County. Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services and/or the Rehabilitation Supervisor, the Physical Therapist develops and implements a plan for providing physical rehabilitation and home therapeutic treatment, as well as education of patients, family members, and significant others.

Qualifications/Requirements
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.
Graduation from a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
A minimum of one year’s experience as a Physical Therapist is required. Experience as a Physical Therapist in home health is preferred.
Current CPR card required.

Occupational Therapist

Wilshire Home Health currently has a clinical opening for a full time occupational therapist in our San Luis Obispo & Northern Santa Barbara County service areas. We offer independence and flexible schedules, competitive pay and mileage reimbursement.

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services and/or the Rehabilitation Supervisor, the Occupational Therapist develops and implements a plan for providing rehabilitation home therapeutic treatment as well as education of patients, family members and significant others. This position also coordinates with other home health staff to provide an efficient integration of care.

Qualifications/Requirements
Current registration as an Occupational Therapist from the American Occupational Therapy Association.
A minimum of one year’s experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.
Experience as an Occupational Therapist in home health is preferred.
Current CPR card required.

Registered Nurse: Full Time, Admissions (Per Diem)

Rehabilitation Supervisor

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Care Services, the Rehabilitation Supervisor supervises the Therapy (PT, PTA, OT, OTA, ST) activities, supervises Rehabilitation clinical staff and is responsible for staff education and staff development. Responsible for comprehensive Rehabilitation care of patients which includes recognition of emotional, social and cultural factors, encouragement of self respect and self‐esteem, guidance toward rational and socially acceptable behavior and implementation of therapy care measures; and training of nursing personnel related to recognition and understanding of patient’s rehabilitation needs and rehabilitation interventions. Oversees documentation and continuity of professional services.

Qualifications/Requirements
Graduated from a program in physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Council on Post Secondary Education.
Shall be registered or licensed or certified and eligible to practice in the State of California.
Progressively responsible clinical experience in a community health service, intermittent care home health agency, or its equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge of home health and use of community resources.
Basic administrative and managerial skills required.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability and capability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
Demonstrated interest and knowledge of current trends and new developments in home health.
Possesses knowledge of self care practices including a balanced health style.
Two years experience with BestCare preferred.
Current CPR card required.

LVN: Full Time, Part Time, and Weekend Charge Per Diem

Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the LVN performs a wide range of professional duties that are related to nursing care. Assigned duties are performed within the framework of policies and standards set by management.

Qualifications/Requirements
Graduation from a state‐approved vocational school of nursing.
Currently licensed as a vocational nurse in the State of California.
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care.
Experience/education in senior care, chronically ill, restorative nursing, and/or psychiatric nursing.
One or more years experience as a staff nurse desirable and Med‐Surg experience preferred.
Current venipuncture experience required and state certification is desirable.
Current CPR card required.

Volunteer Mediator

Join our team of volunteer mediators. This in-depth and dedicated volunteer opportunity allows our community to be a part of the mediation process.

Volunteers complete comprehensive training, advanced training, observations and practical evaluations over a 6 month period of time.
